Had an enjoyable evening with as part of a group of people from work in a visit to a nearby Indoor Karting centre.
It's the first time I've tried it, and I have to say it was a lot of fun even though I was far from the quickest driver in the group (although luckily for my ego not the slowest). It took me a bit of time to get used to the kart and get over my nerves enough to start pushing hard, and I was only really getting into the swing of it by the final session - I think I'd do a lot better on a second attempt.
It was a bit odd getting back into my car after the karts - by comparison the steering and brakes are a hell of a lot lighter. |
