Had a pretty busy day yesterday. I was up fairly early in the morning so I could get into town to have the rear tyres on my car replaced (When I had the car MOTed a couple of months ago the engineer noted they were getting the legal wear limit, and I don't think it would be especially clever to try and stretch them through a Scottish winter). A pleasant upshot of this is a noticeable reduction in road noise.

Following this I swung by Laura's parent's to collect her wheelchair before returning home to pick up Laura then on to Glasgow for the Good Food Show.

The show was bigger than last year, with a lot more exhibitors pushing a variety of wares. Needless to say we sampled a lot of nice things, from sausages to chocolate.

When booking tickets for the show Laura had obtained a seat at a live cookery demonstration by Gordon Ramsay, who was assisted by Claridges' head chef Mark Sargeant. The demo was pretty cool - both are highly skilled chefs who made the dishes they were presenting look effortless whilst still wittily engaging with the crowd (given the mixed audience I suspect Gordon had been asked to try not to swear - he was using 'Holy Mackerel' to fill gaps in the conversation where I would have expected a more Glaswegian expletive).

All good fun, but rather tiring.
